Black - Negro/a
White - Blanco/a
Grey - Gris
Red - Rojo/a
Blue - Azul
Yellow - Amarillo/a
Green - Verde
Orange - Naranja
Purple - Púrpura, morado/a, violeta, lila.
Brown - Marrón, castaño/a.
In Spanish there are some colours that we must concord with the genre of the name they are qualifying. Then if we are talking about a feminine object we must end the adjective in “a”, e.g.: El bolígrafo negro / La silla negra.
We must also note that in Spanish the adjective generally is placed after the noun. Nevertheless, we can find some literary and/or poetic texts where the adjective is before the noun.
