In English we say “On Monday I will go to the party”. But in Spanish we use the definite article (el/los) to talk about the days of the week, e.g., El lunes iré a la fiesta.
 “See you Tuesday”. – Te veo el lunes/Hasta el lunes.

“I go to the cinema on Fridays”. – (Yo) voy al cine los viernes.
